One More......Just One More

One More. Thats all they need. Barcelona can become leage champions and all they need is just one little meesly point. They can also be league champions if not-so-lucky Real Madrid lose to Villareal on Saturday. They can do this. They can complete the treble, oh and I forgot to add, If Barcelona win the league title they will already have two trophies this season since of course they won the Spanish cup against Athletic Bilbao on wednesday. Come on Barca You can't get the third trophy since Manchester will win that but you can get the league title!

Cheater, Cheater?

Wednesday was one of the most controversial games I have ever seen in the history of the UEFA Champions League. The bad guy was, well, everybody, and not just the ref. Yesterday's semi-final match between Catalan giants Barcelona and West London side Chelsea was a game well spent, spent on deciding whether every foul, every handball, and every card was an actual call, or just pure bull. First of the fouls. Every second on the pitch was mostly shirt pulling, verbal, slide tackles, and of course diving (although there was not alot of that). Now, I've been cruising the web (don't ask why I said cruising) and well alot of people are blaming Barcelona, the ref, and other misconseptions. But what really pissess me off is that people are saying that Barcelona had paid th ref. What kind of shit is that? How could they say that? If they would look at the first leg of the match Chelsea has fouled Barca so many times and the ref just shrugged them off. So before they (Chelsea Fans) say that Barcelona paid the ref, LOOK AT THE FIRST FUKING GAME AND SEE HOW MANY TIMES CHELSEA HAS FOULED BARCA AND NOT GOT ONE SINGLE BOOKING

It Was Going to be 5 but......

......Manchster lost to Everton 4-2 in penalties at Wembley Stadium. The whole world watched as Berbatov and Ferdinand missed their chance of being the first ever club of compliting the Quintuple. Now they can only go for a Quad, and hopefully that will be accomplished. The only team to ever to the Quad is Scottish Club Celtic FC during the '66-'67 season. Now everyone is wondering wether or not United has gotten weaker or just bad luck.

Who's Winning?

The first leg of the Champions League quarter-final was a wild one with Porto tying with Manchester, Arsenal's attempt to win, failed, Barcelona's blitzkrieg attack on Bayern Munich, and Liverpool's embarrassing loss to Chelsea. Manchester played as if Porto was nothing, underestimating their opponents letting them score twice. Thankfully though Tevez and Rooney scored to equalize the game. Arsenal on the other hand was embarrassing. The Gunners Let Villareal score easily, but luck was not on their side as Adebayor scores an amazing bicycle kick, giving Arsenal the equalizer. Now across the city of Manchester, Liverpool was host to rivals Chelsea who showed that they can win away Stamford Bridge beating Liverpool 3 - 1. Last but not least Barcelona obliterated Munich an astonish 4 - 0. Barcelona look keen to go all the way to the finals and the only obstacle in the way is Liverpool and Manchester, but let's see what happens.

Best Day Ever

"I haven dreamt of a day like this!" Those were the words of Manchester's own Federico Macheda, who scored the final goal in stoppage time to secure a one point lead over Aston Villa. The Italian who was supposed to play in a Under 18 match for Italy, was called back by manager Sir Alex Ferguson who put his life in his hands. Now he knows what Rooney, Tevez, Berbatov, and Ronaldo feel. And to tell you the truth when he smacked that ball into the back of the net I immediately knew that this kid is going to go far. How far, I don't know but he is.

Messi Doesn't Want to Leave

The "best" is staying at Camp Nou. Barcelona Technical Secretary Begiristain has made a bold statement regarding La Liga's number one player, Leonel Messi, stating that he is staying Barca until the end of his career, giving every club in the world the hint to stop flashing money in front of him because he's not taking it. He is staying and that's that. Maybe this year he will win the FIFA world Player of the year and the Ballon D'Or.

Two in a Row

Wow there seems to be a lot of twos in the Premier League this week; Two weeks Manchester United has lost, two players, Wayne Rooney, and Paul Scholes, have been set off, and 2 goals coincided against United, and only 1 point ahead of rivals Liverpool. What has happened to the team that everyone around the world thought they could achieve the first ever quintuple which involves winning the top tier league, primary and secondary domestic cup competitions, the top level continental cup competition (UEFA Champions League in Europe), and the FIFA Club World Cup, all within a single season. Well despite critics, I still believe in United. They will achieve the quintuple and show the world that they are the best club in all of football!

Fallen Eagle

Mexico's Aguilas de America have lost 2-0 to Atlante over the weekend leaving them in last place in their group with only nine points. This is America's third dissapointing loss of the season and if they keep playing like this they will not make it to the playoffs like last season. I just wonder who the fans blame; the players or the coaches.

My THoughts on The Tevez Fiasco

I know i just blogged a little while ago but I had forgotten to put this blog on my thoughts on the whole Tevez and Real Madrid fiasco. Now personally when Carlos Tevez first came to Old Trafford last year I thought that Manchester would only win the league title. He showed me that he is the best forward in all of the premier league. He has helped United do a double by winning not only the league title, but also the Champions league. Now Sir Alex has brought upon another striker, Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham, and to this day I still think that was a stupid mistake. Berbatov is good I admit that, but he cannot replace Tevez. He was part of the Big Three which include Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney. They would later on lead United to a Double. Berbatov should either be benched or should be allowed to go to another team while Tevez should stay instead of going to Madrid, he has unfinished business here at Old Trafford.

Ribery to Manchester?!? NICE!!!!

Now the story of Cristiano Ronaldo moving to Madrid has gotten old and rotten, but this, this story of French star Franck Ribery going to Manchester has refueled the story. How? If Sir Alex cashes in on Ronaldo, then he will have so much money to spend on Franck and let him replace Ronaldo. Now in my opinion Ribery and Ronaldo are the best wingers in football and if Ribery comes to Old Trafford, then there won't be any difference on how the team does. But then again I wouldn't trade Cristiano for ANYBODY. HE IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!

Red vs Blue, Ibra vs Rooney, basically Man U vs Inter

Tomorrow starts the second leg of the UEFA champions league and the one match everyone wants to see is Manchester United versus Italian giants Internazionale. These two want the trophy as bad as Manchester City wants to buy the best players. United though are in a jam with Nemanja Vidic out with a leg injury which means the defense will be sloppy and his backup, Brazilian Rafael, did not board the plane to Milan. What does this mean, I'll tell you what it means. It means Rooney, Cristiano, and Berbatov need to attack like there's no tomorrow and they also need to make sure Zlatan doesn't get the ball. His accuracy is good and with no defense it's even deadlier. Look forward to a good match at San Siro this Tuesday and at Old Trafford next week.

Eduardo's Back

Yesterday marked the return of Croatian and Gunner striker Eduardo da Silva. After being gone for about a full season from a scary tackle suffered by Martin Taylor of Birmingham. His return helped launch Arsenal to a 4-o win against Cardiff city in the fourth round of the F.A. Cup. He scored twice while Bendtner and the Dutch ace Robin van Persie scored the other two.

Scolari Gone

It was repoerted on Monday that Former Portugal and Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari was sacked by English club Chelsea. Scolari managed 36 games, won 20 games, and lost 5 games with 11 draws. Scolari was fired after the goalles game against Hull City on Sunday
Chelsea also released a statement on the release of Scolari Luiz Felipe "Scolari has been dismissed as manager of Chelsea Football Club today (Monday 9th February 2009) with immediate effect. The Chelsea board would like to place on record our gratitude for his time as manager. Felipe has brought many positives to the club since he joined and we all feel a sense of sadness that our relationship has ended so soon. Unfortunately the results and performances of the team appeared to be deteriorating at a key time in the season. In order to maintain a challenge for the trophies we are still competing for we felt the only option was to make the change now. The search for a new manager has already started and we hope to have someone in place as soon as possible. While that continues assistant coach Ray Wilkins will take charge of the team on a temporary basis." After being released, speculations arose that Scolari might return to coach Brazil
Statistics were from www.wikipedia.org and statement is from www.chelseafc.com

Arshavin's now a Gunner

Andrei Arshavin is one of Russia's rising star. He was Zenit Saint Petersburg striker, until Arsenal wanted him. He was one of the main reasons why Zenit was able to win the 07/08 UEFA cup and the UEFA super cup against England giants Manchester United. He has been called up from Russia during the Euro 2008 and helped them get to the semi-finals, but lost to Spain. His Success in 2008 brought the eyes of major top clubs, but choose to go with Arsenal. Now he is ready to show England what he's got.

The Bitter Taste of Nothing

This year's winter transfer window was shapping up to bring us jaw-dropping transfers, but alas no sycuh thing has happened....yet. Everybody's eyes was on one club in particular, which was Manchester City, who promised all the fans out there the best players. But how can they? Brazilian super star Kaka has declined 3 bids all ranging from 100 to 200 million euros.

They have also claimed to get Valencia duo David Villa and David Silva for the same amount as Kaka, but no luck. Only 2 days reamain until the window closes and the eyes that were watching City, are now turning away.
